About Us

Ximena has more than 25 years of experience working in the Latin American Legal Sector and almost 10 years focused on Business Development and Marketing.

She is a Colombian attorney, licensed to practice in Colombia, the state of New York and Ecuador. Having experienced the legal sector as a practicing attorney, as an international in-house counsel of a global corporation, and as CMO and member of the strategic committee of a leading law firm in Ecuador, she deeply understands the particularities of the Latin American Legal sector from several perspectives. This knowledge allows her to advise with a very practical and results-oriented style.

Ximena obtained her JD from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. As a Fulbright scholar, she obtained her master’s degree (LLM) in Corporate from New York University. She worked at Goodwin Procter LLP in Boston, PPU and CMS Rodriguez Azuero in Colombia and Pérez Bustamante & Ponce in Ecuador.

Ximena launched her consulting firm LupaLegal with a focus on business development and marketing strategy for the legal sector. She has advised several firms in their business development strategies in Latin America.

She strongly believes in the impact of developing authentic relationships with tools that empower individuals and play to their strengths while aligning a common vision and BD culture at firms.
